processing your order
Orders are dispatched twice per week, currently this on a Tuesday and Thursday. If you need your order urgently please advise me at checkout.
In the event of an unforeseen delay you will be contacted and informed via email and within 48 hours.
I am continuously improving Lucy' Soap Kitchen's 'earth friendly' standards and have a 'zero waste' ethos. Where possible your order will arrive in a pre-used box or padded envelope. If your package contains plastic bubble wrap (which is helpful for protecting glass jars) I have not purchased this but am re-using it rather than send it to landfill/'recycle'.
You will not receive printed order information in your package. Please check your emails and print if you require this. (Think before you print, and all that!)
If you have suitable small (shoe sized) boxes or padded envelopes, please contact me, I will exchange your unwanted packaging for free soap. It's a win/win!
If I use a new box it is 100% recycled brown cardboard and is also recyclable.** Please note if your order is a gift I will always use a new box.
Our tissue wrap is 100% recycled and I use brown paper tape.
delivery information
Once your order has been processed you will receieve a 'confirmation of dispatch' email. (Sometimes these go into your 'spam' folder, I can't control this.)
Our postal charges are at cost and we subsidise (sometimes significantly) every order.
Postage charge (if applicable) will be added automatically at checkout;
- Nationwide tracked delivery (Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland) - flat rate of €6.50 with free postage on orders over €50
- All other EU destinations - packages are sent with tracking requiring a signature - flat rate of €14.50 with free postage on orders over €80.00
Parcels are sent via An Post Parcel Post and are currently tracked. An Post advise that nationwide delivery is usually 1-2 working days (although they do not guarantee this). At busier holiday times they advise 3-4 working days.
cancellation and returns policy
Refunds are made using the same payment method used for purchase.
You may cancel your order and receive a full immediate refund if your order has not yet been posted.
You are entitled to a 14 day cooling off period following receipt of your goods. Returns will be accepted and payment refunded if product remains unused and in original packaging. Contact must be made within the 14 days of receipt to notify of intent to return.
Lucy's Soap Kitchen is not responsible for the return postage cost unless we are at fault for incorrect goods being sent.
